On the doorstep to all that North Norfolk has to offer, our cottage is beautifully converted with well appointed rooms, a well equipped kitchen and plenty of modern amenities to enhance your stay.
It’s within easy reach of Sandringham, Wells next the Sea, Walsingham Holt, Cromer, Blakeney, Cley, Sheringham, and so much more.
Hempton lies to the south of the lovely Georgian town of Fakenham, and just a short walk from its weekly market and auction.
Our cottage is 20 minutes from Sandringham and 14 minutes from the fabulous pine forest lined beaches of Wells next the Sea. Come and see the seal colonies basking on the sand dunes and sample the freshly harvested oysters at Morston, or taste samphire and crabs from many of the coastal outlets.
If you desire city life, Norwich is just over 30 minutes away with unique shops and restaurants, castle, magnificent Cathedral and river walks.

The comfortable and tasteful surroundings offer you TV, WiFi access, and plenty of reading material and games . The sitting room has its own separate desk and laptop area.
You will find three cosy bedrooms with pretty decor, hanging and drawer space – one double room, one twin and one large single, all with crisp bedding and cosy duvets.
The bathroom is bright and well appointed with a double walk in shower, low suite bath, WC and wash basin.
In the generous country kitchen, you will find a double oven, grill and ceramic work hob, microwave/convection oven, toaster, juicer and every kitchen utensil for your needs.
The utility area has a washing machine and tumble dryer, and leads to the small courtyard and large garden room annexe where you can take breakfast on a sunny day or relax with a drink or a book.
To the front of the house is a pretty south-facing garden offering a table and chairs and parasol for warmer days.
We have endeavoured to make your holiday as cosy and memorable as possible, giving you the ‘At Home’ feeling throughout your stay with fresh flowers and a welcome pack.
Wagtails offers all year round accommodation and in the winter is served by gas central heating and a cosy log effect fire.
Wagtails is a non smoking and allergy friendly house, meaning unfortunately we cannot accept pets.
